Speaking of Mother Nature

ETA 03.03.10: School was delayed two hours today (Wednesday) due to the "icy" conditions on the roads! I could really get used to this. Sleep in late, no traffic coming to work, teach for 15 minutes before sending the kids to specials...what a great start to the morning!

Yesterday I went walking with my friend Robyn around the nature trail near our house. It was nice to get out in the fresh air and we enjoyed the sunny, blue skies. It was also relatively warm so we spent about an hour and a half trying to walk out this baby (it didn't work...).

Today is another story completely! When I woke up I thought what I heard was rain on the roof only to discover it had been snowing the entire time I was getting ready! Driving to work was a bit more difficult since people in Georgia forget how to operate their vehicles at the slightest sign of precipitation. We let the kids play outside during the "storm" at recess and by the time I left at 3:30 this is what my car looked like:

No wonder everyone is getting sick these days-- 55 and sunny one day, 30 and snowing the next! Now I love winter best of all, but enough is enough. Mother Nature, make up your mind! First of all, don't you know how hard it is to dress this 9 month pregnant body?! Either stay cold a little while longer or move on to spring full time! Thank you.

Hey, are y'all having school tomorrow? Forsyth is closed, but Hank's preschool follows the Fulton calendar and I'm not sure.
