Day Five- Gifts from Grandpa

Our fifth day (March 10th) was pretty uneventful until around dinner time when Carter got to meet his Grandpa Bo! Bo was coming through town and finally got a chance to stop by for a little bit. He also came bearing a very special gift- a beautiful 20 gauge shot gun for Lincoln! Bo bought it on Carter's birthday in order for Linc to pass on to him when he is older. This way he always remembers his father and grandfather every time he goes hunting. It will definitely be many years before Carter is able to use it, but I'm sure his daddy won't mind helping to break it in!

C was a little chilly so we put on his ducky outfit from Aunt Jenna!

The Boys

After Bo left it was time for baby to go to bed (and mommy too)! We got all wrapped up in his new onesie from Aunt Krissy and thankfully I snapped a few pics before Carter proved it really was past his bed time! He is very alert for about an hour after feeding and then makes sure to tell us when he has had enough! A tight swaddle and some shushing seems to be just what he needs and so far he settles down pretty quickly and then puts himself to sleep. We use the Sleep Sheep in his bassinet so he can have some "white noise" while he drifts off.

This was right before he started screaming for a swaddle!

Can't sleep without some Daddy cuddle time!

Good night baby burrito!

Sweet dreams baby C!

Nora HATES the swaddle. The first few weeks, she seemed to like it fine, but now she fights and fights it until she can get her hands out. I have tried the Swaddle Me's, all sorts of different blankets, and nothing seems to work. I guess each baby does his/her own thing!
