Ornament Exchange

The Christmas parties are well underway and the other weekend Krissy hosted her 9th Annual Ornament Exchange. It was such a fun night with the most delicious food! Krissy went all out and prepared the entire week to serve all 18 guests a fully plated dinner. You better believe we all “pinned” the recipe afterward! There was the most amazing punch, some tasty apps, and even two desserts. She definitely went above and beyond! We drew numbers to determine where we sat for dinner and Nancy and I shared a table with one of Krissy’s former coworkers. It was a great way to get to know someone new and I really enjoyed the conversation. She had a great turnout and friends from all walks of life attended!

New momma Beth had her first evening away from 3 week old Kinley!

I had never been to an ornament exchange but it was similar to a White Elephant party in that everyone brought a wrapped ornament and there was a set order that we got to open the packages. I was stolen from quite a few times but in the end received a lovely Nativity ornament that will look perfect on my tree! Hopefully there are no hard feelings ;) I think it’s safe to say this party was a huge success and I’m already thinking about what ornament to bring next year!

Krissy managed to “steal” the ornament I stole from her mother and since

she was the third person to take it, the ornament was frozen and she got to keep it!

I didn’t get to keep that present ornament, it was stolen from me in the next turn!

Then I opened a UGA nutcracker which was also taken from me right away!
