On the night you were born, the moon smiled with such wonder

that the stars peeked in to see you and the night wind whispered,

“Life will never be the same.”

Because there had never been anyone like you…ever in the world.

So enchanted with you were the wind and the rain

that they whispered the sound of your wonderful name.

It sailed through the farmland high on the breeze…Over the ocean…And through the trees…

Until everyone heard it and everyone knew of the one and only ever you.

For never before in story or rhyme (not even once upon a time)

has the world ever known a you, my friend, and it never will, not ever again…

Heaven blew every trumpet and played every horn

on the wonderful, marvelous night you were born.

Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday my sweet Carter boy. When you entered into this world and took your first breath your father and I became parents and our lives were forever changed. I always knew I wanted to be a mother but I could never have imagined how truly amazing life could be with you in it. You are our entire world and everything we do is for you and you alone. You have brought more love, happiness, excitement, adventure, confusion, frustration, and challenges than we ever expected a tiny baby to bring, but every day is better than the last. I cannot believe how much has changed this past year and I am forever grateful to our Heavenly Father for blessing us with such a beautiful miracle. You won't know how much your daddy and I love you until you have your own children, but hopefully I can spend the rest of your life trying to show you. Thank you for making me a mommy, thank you for completing our family, and thank you for bringing such joy to our lives. Your daddy and I love you so much sweet baby. Happy Birthday!
