Guess who turned four months old on Monday?

He really is happy to be four months old!
See?
That is one happy baby!At four months old, Carter is still topping the charts. At his check up he weighed 19 pounds even, measured 27 inches long, and had a head circumference of 17 and 3/4 inches. 
That would be the 97th percentile, 96th percentile, and 94th percentile. Yup...he is a BIG boy!! Our doctor was so happy with his progress and said we could hold off starting solids until he was six months old. I was worried she might try and push it but after reading everything I could on the subject I was adamant about waiting til he was older and less likely to develop food allergies. Thankfully, she agreed! I also talked to her about swaddling him (he still sleeps swaddled every night) and she said he would tell us when he was ready to go without it- ie. he repeatedly escapes from it! My poor little man got four shots and one oral injection before we could head home. He screamed bloody murder, had a huge spit up in the car, and promptly passed out. He has been asleep on my lap ever since!!

So what is baby C up to at four months?
Here are a few things off our doctor's checklist:

- Bearing weight on legs
- Lifting and turning head when lying on belly
- Controlling head when sitting or standing
- Responding to sounds and facial expressions
- Tracking objects side to side and up and down
- Holding objects and bringing them to mouth
- Demanding attention by fussing
- Laughing out loud and giggling
- Playing with hands

That sure was a fun photo shoot. He was so happy and cooperative, and the outcome was terrific too! All those precious photos of the cutest 4 month old baby boy ever! I may just have to post about it too. ;-)

Oh my gosh! Too cute!! You didn't need me for a photo shoot...those are amazing! I LOVE the ones of him "flying"! Just precious! Miss you guys...give the little man a kiss for me!
