Meeting Jack Weston

On October 30, 2009 my friend and fellow small group member Kerri gave birth to her son Jack Weston after 27 hours of labor!!! One c-section later, he was finally able to enter the world weighing in at 8 pounds even. My small group and I were able to meet him on Monday night and he is just the tiniest thing ever! I tried not to be a baby hog, but I certainly enjoyed my turns holding him! Jack is just so precious and Kerri is already back to her little self and looking great after her whole birth ordeal!

The poor baby boy was stuck sideways and it took more than a day for the doctors and nurses to realize he was not positioned correctly. She was not prepared for a c-section, but what are you gonna do? I know they are very thankful to have Jack at home and put all of that behind them! My camera was acting up and not cooperating, but here are a few (blurry) pictures from our evening!

Holding Jack in his nursery and getting lots of practice!

New mom Kerri and the mom to be!

He slept like this with his tongue out for a good while!

Making grouchy faces in his sleep!

I can't wait for Jack to meet Baby Hami so they can be great friends! It will be so fun to have them in small group together and watch them grow up into little men side by side. Congrats Kerri and Derek, baby Jack is so blessed to have you two as parents and have such amazingly strong Christian examples in his life.

He's precious and Kerri looks great, still beaming, even after that long labor.
Best wishes to the new family!
