Cousins

Carter and his baby cousin Nathan are fourteen months apart. They are so adorable together and I can’t wait to watch them grow up side by side. When we went to Florida Nathan had just turned five weeks old and we got to pose the babies for pictures in the same outfit Carter wore when he was five weeks old last year! It looks very different on them since C was a chunk and Nathan is a lot more svelte! The photo shoot didn’t go very well but at least we got a few photos of the sweet boys together.

Fun in Florida

On Sunday afternoon the Morgans arrived at our hotel and Alex finally got to meet her sweet nephew! Carter was much more accepting of his tiny cousin and unlike our first visit he didn’t even mind when I held Nathan! That evening Carter and I packed up our things and left the hotel to stay with Kristin. The rest of the week was spent visiting, eating, and hanging out with the babies. It was so nice to be able to spend time with Kris and watch her with Nathan. She is such a natural and such a loving mommy!

Trip to Orlando

Earlier in the month we joined my family for a trip down to Orlando to visit my sister Kristin and baby nephew Nathan. My sister Alex had not had a chance to meet him yet so she was anxious to arrive! We flew in on Saturday even though Kristin, Ryan, and Nathan were at a wedding in Jekyll Island. My dad was actually traveling to Florida for a business meeting and staying at the Grand Hyatt Cypress near all the parks but he and my mom weren't arriving until Sunday so we took their room for a day and got to enjoy the beautiful hotel. We spent Saturday afternoon swimming in the massive pool and then finished up with the most amazing dinner. After putting Carter to bed we ordered room service for dessert and then hit the hay. Sunday morning we woke up and went to breakfast and then toured our hotel!

Carter was an absolute angel during the flight! He slept from the moment the plane pushed back from the gate until we landed in Orlando! I had to wake him up just to get off. Thank goodness for planning our flight during nap time! I didn’t have room to bring my Canon so most of the pictures I took were with my phone. Either way, we had a great time and made some special memories!

Baby Twins

Having such a big group of boys it’s inevitable that they’ll turn up in the same outfit eventually! All the Baby Brigade mommies have similar tastes in clothing and shop at the same stores where we've come to realize that there isn't as much selection as we've noticed with baby girl clothes. We had Shari and Spencer over a few weeks ago and I had to do a double take when they walked in. Both boys were wearing the same romper (which we had bought together months before). They looked so adorable and we had to do a mini twin photo shoot!

Smitten

The other week when we hosted play group our new blog buddies Heidi and Giana came to play. All the boys were totally smitten with Miss Gigi and were flirting up a storm! Carter especially was doing anything and everything to get her attention. They weren’t able to stay for long but I’m glad we were able to hang out again! They are so much fun!

Baby Brigade Comes to Play

I am a few weeks behind in editing pictures so it’s fun to look back and remember what was going on! The thing I remember most about this particular play group is that it was one big feeding frenzy!! Once the snack traps came out the babies turned into little vultures and just went wild. Carter is such a little piglet and had to steal the food and hide from his friends in order to enjoy it. We love having our buddies over and even though it was a small turnout I think all the boys had fun!
