Isle of Palms

087-1

We just returned from Raincation 2011. Our family spent a very rainy, very cold week in Isle of Palms, South Carolina. It only took us about six hours to drive there and we got to stay in my mother in law’s friend’s beautiful home. It was a three story house with views of the ocean and came with our own golf carts to play with! The owner has grandchildren so there was even a crib, monitor, toys, and pack and play! It was well stocked for a week with little ones. Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate and what the weather channel predicted definitely did not come true! We packed for temperatures in the 70s and in actuality the highs didn’t even go into the low 60s until our last day there. Thank goodness the owner of the house had left some clothes behind and I lived in one of her sweatshirts for the entire week! You’ll see it in almost every picture I am in of our trip ;)

ACK! We just got back from the coldest rainiest vacation we've ever had in Virginia Beach. Makes it worse to have a baby cooped up too. You did get some good pictures though, more than I can say for us. I LOVE the picture of the rainbow chairs! Good eye lady!
