Easter Weekend at the Lake

My parents have a house at Lake Oconee so after tennis on Saturday we drove over there to celebrate Easter weekend. The weather was perfect, we ate lots of yummy food, and mom and I even braved the frigid waters to take a dip! Carter loves going on the boat but wasn’t a huge fan of his life jacket!

Ah! That’s better! Now he can actually move his arms.

A New Old Friend

Recently I was able to reconnect with an acquaintance from high school through Facebook and our blogs. Little did we realize but we live about five minutes apart from each other! For some reason I always assume people I grew up with live far away now but I should have paid closer attention! Katie had a son named Bennett about five months earlier and they joined us for play group a few weeks ago to get to know everyone! I am so glad we were able to get together and get to know each other better and I am really hoping we’ll become good friends! Such a small world!

Baby Griff Comes to Town

Candace and baby Griffin came to visit us the weekend of April 15^th because she was hosting a baby shower in town. It was so nice to see them twice in one month and I felt spoiled getting to spend so much time with them. Griffin is sitting up now and showed off his new skills while the boys played in C’s room together. We went out for a yummy dinner at Chepes (where we saw Krissy and Nicholas) the night before the shower and the boys even took a bath in the big tub!

Carter showed off his walking skills and shared his toys with his little buddy!

BB Photo Shoot

When the Baby Brigade turned one on April 12, 2011 we had a big party and photo shoot to commemorate the special day! Our photographer Kristin posed with a few of the babies afterward to use on her website. Unfortunately their expressions pretty much sum up how the rest of the photo shoot went! It was cold, windy, and once one baby started crying the others quickly followed suit. We made the best of it though and Kristin was able to capture some great memories!

Carter wanted nothing to do with it but it was fun to watch all the other babies dig in!
