Snowpocalypse 2011

When the broadcasters started talking about snow late last week I had little faith that they’d be correct. Then pandemonium hit when a winter storm started making it’s way towards Georgia. Thankfully I had already done our food shopping for the week and didn’t have to fight the lines at the food store aislefor the last few gallons of milk! aisle1Some of my friends snapped pictures of the grocery aisles and I could not believe how picked clean they were! People sure do go crazy in the South when it snows. I still did not think it would actually snow but then on Sunday evening around 10:30 the beginnings of some flakes caught my eye out the window. Little more than an hour later and we already had an inch of snow covering the ground. Around midnight it was closer to 3 inches and still coming down strong. The yard, driveway, and street were nowhere to be found! I kept telling myself to go to sleep but I felt like a little kid again watching the snow fall. I braved the cold to document the evening and enjoyed watching the pups romp around in the yard. By the time I went to sleep our grill had 6 inches of snow on top and it still hadn’t stopped.
