The Best Month Yet

Dear Carter,

This past month has been an amazing experience with highs, lows, and everything in between. You have brought such joy to our lives and I feel so blessed to be your mother. I fell in love with you the day you were born and ever since then you continue to make my heart melt. Watching you grow these past few weeks has been surreal and I cannot believe how fast the time has gone!

At one month old you are getting so much stronger. You can hold your head up for a few seconds and love looking around. You are a very slow eater and tend to take over an hour to finish your meals. Afterward you like to "play" for at least thirty minutes before taking a nap. This makes for one tired momma! We are still working on getting you on a schedule and hopefully we'll fall into a routine soon. You love going for walks and car rides, playing in your farm yard activity mat, and snuggling.

Little boy, your daddy and I love you very much and we are so thankful to be your parents. We thank God every night that He gave us this opportunity to expand our family and allowed us to take care of His little angel. I pray for the young man you are becoming, that you will continue to grow healthy and strong, and that we can do whatever is necessary to keep you happy and thriving. We are so excited for what the future brings but for now we're savoring every moment- every tiny little smile, coo, and hiccup- and getting as much cuddle time as possible! Thank you for making the last month so exciting!
