This Week, a Turnip

So I lied yesterday, I do have a minute here to post something, but my brain is too tired to think of a clever title for Week 17. After reading my weekly preggo emails, I don't think I have even seen a turnip in real life- or at least, not that I can recall at the moment. According to BabyCenter- Baby Hami's skeleton is hardening this week, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is accumulating around it. His umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and his little fingers and toes now feature one-of-a-kind prints. Baby H weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and he's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. What does that really mean? Baby H is about the size of my open hand- a thought that made me tear up the first time I read it! He's getting so big and I can't wait to see him in 2 1/2 weeks!!

It's only Wednesday evening and I am already burned out and ready for this week to be over. I have had multiple parent conferences every afternoon, lots of tennis, and some serious "morning" sickness that seems to be striking every single evening. Linc and I tried going food shopping last night and I almost puked all over the store. It was quite pleasant. I came home early from tennis tonight so I didn't overdo it and I am headed to bed right after I am done typing. We have a match tomorrow after a few more conferences and I need to rest up!

In a completely unrelated note- I walked in the door this afternoon and found that my mom and sister had snuck over in the middle of the day and hung up my beautiful handmade curtains in the living room!! My mom has been working on them and they turned out awesome! Thanks girls- it really made the downstairs look great and was the perfect surprise! I'll try and post pictures later this week!

I saw all three, a 4, 5 and 6 month sonogram today on "The Doctors" and it was awesome! Three sisters (triplets) are all pregnant at the same time. It made me so excited to see my grandbaby and the progress he's making in there. Can't wait for your sonogram and the pictures of the little one!

So glad we could surprise you! I was pleased with how the valences looked too!
The pups were very happy to see us and got a good hour of playtime while we were there.

Now... on to decorating the guest room and the babies room!
