Guacamole

We have somehow already reached the fourth month of pregnancy! BabyCenter says to get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, baby H will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. Inside, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as he continues to develop.

It seems like I had a huge growth spurt between 7 and 13 weeks, and since then my bump has remained about the same size. Now, I take these photos in the morning, so there is a noticeable difference between a morning belly and night belly! Right now the morning pics will have to suffice!

My four month stats are as follows:
Weight= + 6 pounds (up 3 since 09/07)
Waist= + 1 inch (no change since 09/07)
Hips= no change (no change since 07/06)
Bust= + 2 inches (no change since 09/07)
Belly= + 3.5 inches (up .5 in since 09/07)

I have still not gotten my energy back all the way, but I have noticed a slight improvement in activity level! My tennis game is going well and I have been walking after school a bit. Hopefully I can keep both of these up now that temperatures have dropped and fall is on its way! I have my four month check up tomorrow and maybe they'll let me hear Hami's heartbeat!

You should be able to tell if you are having a boy or girl at this point. I could tell Royal was a boy at 15 weeks. So, see if you can talk you Dr. into giving you an ultrasound. Or you can just say your kidneys have been hurting and they will ultrasound them to check for hydro and you might get to see then. Ha, just some tricks from when I used to do ultrasound. : )
