We began the festivities out at the lake on Friday enjoying time in the water and hanging out with family. After coming back from Little Rock we had cocktails on the porch and a mini photo session in our patriotic outfits! The pups enjoyed running around in the dog park and snoozing in the sunshine while we hung out on the deck. My parents cooked an amazing dinner out on the grill and I made some Nathan's famous cheese rolls. We saved room for cupcakes and headed down to the dock. Here are a few pictures from the beginning of the evening!

Our view as we waited for the fireworks to begin!That evening we took the boat out across the lake to the Ritz Carlton. Every year they have a huge fireworks display and this year was no exception! After
listening to the Atlanta Pops perform from across the water and playing Password, we waited...and waited...and waited...and finally a little after ten o'clock they shot off the first firework and the show began. It was a spectacular evening with clear sky and almost full moon, boats floating all around us, and surrounded by family and friends-- perfect conditions for watching fireworks on the water!
