On Friday afternoon a few of us headed to Lawton Stables on Hilton Head to take a trail ride! I had not ridden in 2
1/2 years (since breaking my tail bone) so I was excited to saddle up! I grew up going riding at this barn with my cousin Kate and could not believe the changes the entire farm had undergone in a few months. New pastures, new stables, a petting zoo and riding ring- everything was revamped and amazing! The three of us had a great time exploring the 600+ acre nature preserve and then spending some time with the animals in the petting zoo.

It was so much fun taking Carter to Harbor Town! He got to go to the toy store for the very first time where his Hattie picked out a few great things! We walked around and looked at the lighthouse and the boats, went out to lunch, and finished up at the park. My family and I have been coming to HHI and Harbor Town since we were very little (my sister even learned to walk here) so it was very special to be able to bring Carter here! I can't wait until next time!
We're back! I have tons of pictures to go through and lots of posts to write,
but here is something pretty to look at in the meantime!

Just a quick little hello from Hilton Head!C and I will be back in a few days
(We miss you Daddy)!

Baby C and I are off enjoying the sand and surf!
More to come when we get back!
Our second field trip of the month was to Zoo Atlanta!
We had perfect weather and got to see lots of animals.
On September 7
th the Baby Brigade loaded up for their first field trip to the Georgia Aquarium! Only four of the babies could make it on this adventure, but we had a great time! Kerri, Shari, and I carpooled together in the Swagger Wagon and met Laurie and Macey downtown. Carter was cutting a tooth so he wasn't in the best of moods but hopefully he still enjoyed the sights as much as I did! This was my eighth time at the aquarium and it never disappoints!!

On September 5th Carter celebrated his half birthday! We spent the day with the Gordons at Webb Bridge Park enjoying the beautiful weather and playing on the swing set. He had his six month check up a few days later and thankfully had a clean bill of health.
At six months Carter is sitting up by himself, eating solids 2-3 times a day, "crawling" by smashing his face into the carpet and then propelling himself forward, rolling around like a mad man, and being an all around awesome baby! The past six months have been so amazing with new adventures, challenges, and a few bumps along the way but I am so grateful for this precious baby and feel incredibly lucky that he is ours.

Last week Carter and Spencer reached their half birthdays!
We met the Gordons at a local park to celebrate and enjoy the day.
Now that Carter is sitting it is about time we transition him to the real bath tub!
He is pretty long and is quickly running out of room in his baby tub!
Labor Day Weekend we went over to the Davis' house for dinner. Kerri cooked up a delicious Mexican fiesta and we enjoyed a few margaritas, great company, and play time with the babies!
We had a small turn out this past week at Macey's house!
Last week we went with Robyn and Grace to Central Park. It was Carter's first time in a swing and even though we had to use a beach towel to prop him up, he had a great time! We were a bit off schedule that afternoon so baby C took a little nap while I pushed him in the swing!
Carter started sitting recently and discovered he had a new favorite toy!! We found this at the consignment store and after playing with Spencer's knew it was well worth the $3 ;)
Last week the Baby Brigade packed their bags and headed to Lake Lanier! Krissy and Nicholas invited us for our first ever slumber party and it was so much fun! C and I carpooled with the Gordons and we got out there a little after lunch. After letting the babies play inside we threw on our suits and hit the water. That night we had yummy chicken kabobs and some delicious margaritas after the babies went to bed!

Sharing a room with Baby C was definitely not the highlight of our trip but we still had a great time!! We are looking forward to many more slumber parties with our awesome friends in the future!
